Art and wine …..mmmmm

Fancy a night out with a difference??? Head down to Cork and Chroma  at 44 Montague Street, South Brisbane. A unique art class where you can bring your own drink.

This is a super fun way to spend an evening with friends , as part of a birthday/girlie celebration or even if you want to do something yourself. Pre booking is necessary as there is a limit for each class, so make sure you book in advance. The atmosphere is wild and vibrant and fun with great background music to keep you singing along and tapping your toes.

The two instructors are really nice, bubbly and enthusiastic. Once you’ve been given your apron and shown to your seat complete with easel and palet you can open your wine and get to know the other participants. Various type glasses are provided and water is also available. If you the thought of art makes you hungry there are a variety of nibbles for sale too.

The instructor explain what the different paint brushes are for and how we will use them. After a brief into the class begins in a light hearted step by step instructions for the picture of the evening. There are plenty of colours to choose from or you can use the colour palet the instructor uses. The class itself is ideal for all levels of art and instructor keeps an eye on everyone and you work at a leisurely pace. You can also ask as many questions as you like or help if you get stuck.

I have posted the fruit of our labours (me , my daughter and my son in  law) all of us beginners…..not bad if I say so myself. We spent just over three hours painting, learning, singing and drinking lovely red wine,  and we got to take home our works of art. Now that’s what I call a good night out !!!
