SAKI of Brisbane.

I was told that Sake was THE restaurant to try when in Brisbane. A modern Japanese restaurant, makes a dynamic addition to the iconic Eagle Street Pier overlooking the Brisbane River. It is recommended to make a reservation rather than just turn up.

On entering we were greeted by the hostess who showed us to our  beautifully decorated   private room. We opted for the Cherry Blossom festival menu, a 6 course meal of beef, kingfish, tuna tartar, steamed pork bun to name a few and a cocktail to get us started.

The timing between each course was perfect, giving us time to savour the food and chat. Our server was very knowledgeable sharing  stories about the cocktail and some of the dishes and this added to the overall charm of the restaurant. The food was cooked to perfection and  the flavour combinations and presentation were truly wonderful.

We finished  the evening looking out on the colourfully lit river while enjoying Saki’s signature  black cherry parfait and coffee. A perfect end to a perfect evening.

Well worth a visit.
