I was nicely surprised with a visit to have dinner in Nantucket the other night. You could almost miss it as it’s tucked in on the south side of Indiroopilly Shopping Centre.

The white wooden décor and fire-place  ( perfect for a Winter’s evening)are very indicative of Cape Cod.

Our server was very welcoming, smiling and ready to help us. The menu looked great with lots to choose and a super wine list. Our server gave us great info on the food and a complimenting wine. It is a pleasure to have a server who knows the menu, the wine and how to serve.

Persoally, I like to see my food being made and to know hygiene is paramount in the kitchen. This was obvious, watching the chefs work and cleaning as they went along, a sure sign of well trained staff.

We started with shared plates of deep-fried Brie, calamari and spiced prawns. Delicious!! Our mains were equally as good   and although the desert menu looked mouth-watering we had to decline but decided a return visit is a must and so would the dessert menu.

Overall a lovely place to have dinner, servers are not in your face but near by and attentive to notice when food or drinks were finished.Rleaxing atmosphere and soft easy listening music made for a good night with good food , good wine and good company.
