Not something you expect to do when you finish reading a book , but that’s exactly what I did. I sat back, sighed deeply and was filled with a sense of awhh. That’s the only way I can describe the feeling when I finished the last page, I closed the book and just sat there thinking about the beautiful book I had just read. The 179 pages had such an unexpected impact on me.
Kent Haruf’s OUR SOULS AT NIGHT is so, so beautiful , lovely, kind; graceful all of the yummy words you can think of.
A story of growing old with grace, two people Addie and Louis have been neighbours for years, both are living alone and theirs families have moved away. They spend every night on their own , until one evening Addie visits Louis. The love story begins and reminds us that happiness is a wonderful, fragile thing. OMG is all I can say. Please read this.
Book no:5
Will definitely read this book, and it will hopefully have such a positive effect on me also!
