Delicious Art

Have you ever thought of doing something that you loved when you where in school, but kept putting it to the back of your mind for ”another time”, well……   do it!!

Art was my first love in school and while I wasn’t Picasso I wasn’t half  bad at it , but as soon as I left school I had no need for it. Occasionally, I would see some nice drawing or photo and think , I wish I could draw that. I had some spare time while on holidays so I signed up for art classes for beginners using pastles, something I had never used before. One day a week  at  Delicious Art in Brisbane what harm could it do? at worst I would be totally crap and give it up and at best I would enjoy learning new art and meet new friends. The best thing I ever did!!!

Of course I was a little shy and didn’t know what to expect, after all I wouldn’t know anyone, I was in a different country, but I was amazed at how quickly we gelled as a group. Our ages were similar and we all had our own stories. Every Friday I looked forward to meeting the girls and learning new techniques and of course our coffee break became a favourite time for a catch up and a laugh. Our teacher is Jeanne Cotter, such a lovely, positive person, her love and passion for art was not only evident but it quickly brushed off on the whole class. I learned so much from her, not only art, but an amazing insight on life ,love and the universe and we will  remain friends forever. These are the results of those beautiful lessons.

So now, my challenge is to you…..to do something out of your comfort zone and post the results , you will be surprised at the reaction you get.

Let me know what you think of my efforts
