” The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.
As promised I said I would read more and find the time to do it. I love reading but, it was one of the last things on my ”to do list”. I made all the excuses ; I’m too busy, too tired, I can’t seem to finish this book, etc. So now I am really trying to keep the promise.
Usually I steer clear of self-help books, motivational books , I didn’t think they applied to me , after all I am a really good motivator. I have spent a good portion of my life in managerial positions both in the retail and hotel and tourism industries. I love training , motivating, but recently I have been thinking who motivates the motivator??
Whether it’s your children, grand children, friends or work colleagues that you find yourself motivating, encouraging or supporting….who do you turn to?
Books that help you!!!
This was the first book I read and the title is self-explanatory.
My daughter suggested this book and I was immediately attracted to the title. Read it in 2 days!!!, a personal record. Not only is this book enlightening but the author Sarah Knight makes it fun to read giving examples from her own experiences, I related to every one of them!!! I wont tell you the rest …you’ll have to read it. For me it was a real opener and I have started to look at how I spend my time and energy on the right people , prioritizing things. It’s not easy saying ”no” to people and things but I’m glad I read this one.
Let me know how it goes on the first self-help book. As always your comments likes, and following are greatly appreciated. x
